USE AND CARE MANUAL
A) SROB SPECIFICATIONS -
O.S Systems, Inc. (OS SYSTEMS) makes two models of its SARR
Surface Water Rescue Drysuits that are waterproof and breathable,
the Splash-B-SROB (SPLB-SROB) and the Splash-B-SRBEC (SPLB-SRBEC).
The SROB is a full featured drysuit having all of the features
described below. The SRBEC is the economy version of the same
drysuit. Both drysuits are made with the same fabrics, zippers,
seals, glue, tape, quality, etc. Only the extra features
differentiate the two models. This Manual applies to both.
The SROB Drysuit Shell is a full body garment designed to prevent
the intrusion of water into the shell when the wearer is immersed
in water. The SROB is a fabric drysuit and does not provide any
significant thermal protection by itself. Each user must wear the
appropriate undergarments for thermal protection
The main body of the SROB shell is made from the MICRO
waterproof/breathable fabric. The MICRO fabric is a three layer
laminate having an exterior base/face fabric, a waterproof &
breathable barrier membrane, and a protective tricot fabric inside
layer. The face fabric is treated with a DWR (Durable Water
Repellent) solution treatment to aid in evaporation of water
vapor.
The SROB Drysuit Shell is equipped with a front diagonal entry, a
#8 diving quality, brass tooth zipper, and a Cordura® fabric
Zipper Cover. This allows easy and fast donning and doffing, and
guaranteed water tightness.
Knee, Butt, and Elbow/Forearm pads are Cordura® for protection and
increased traction. Neoprene Shin Guards are installed inside the
Knee Pads to protect the knees and shins.
The waist of each SROB Drysuit is secured by an adjustable cord
waist inside the SROB so that nothing is external, exposed and
vulnerable to being snagged.
External Bellows Pockets (S, M, or L) can be installed. These
pockets are secured with sandwich style Velcro flap/closures.
Quick drain mesh is installed on each pocket.
Each SROB Drysuit is equipped with Longlife Latex rubber neck and
wrist seals, and MICRO fabric socks, to prevent water intrusion.
